A typical year in the River City Anglers begins in March with the annual fish fry. This is a special Sunday afternoon meeting for the whole family to promote membership.

During the fishing season at least one outing a month is scheduled. The locations vary from year to year. Some are favorites which are repeated annually and others are selected to try new places.

One of the highlights of our weekend outings is the Saturday evening potluck. The goal is to have a fish fry from the weekend catch. Each member brings their own meat for the main dish just in case. It is a great time!

We participate in community service educational projects by promoting fishing to the youth. The club has worked with the Boy Scouts and PE classes at West High. Supported and helped with Missouri River Bass Tournament Kids fishing derby.

Financially the club supports fishing related activities in the area. Browns Lake and Snyders Bend are frequent beneficiaries of club projects.
